BGC Re-Connect After Covid-19

BGC resumed its face-to-face networking session with its employees for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak. The event took place at Tarindak D’Seni, last Tuesday, 26th July 2022.

Present to partake in the BGC Connect were members of the management team led by the Managing Director, Captain Abdul Mateen bin Abdurrahman Liew. In his opening remarks, Captain Abdul Mateen expressed the importance of adapting to change, in response to the ever-challenging maritime landscape which has been impacted by geo-political tensions, disruptions to supply and demand, and most importantly COVID-19. He thanked each and every one of our heroes for sustaining an excellent record through safe and timely delivery of precious LNG cargoes to Brunei’s international customers.

One of the highlights from BGC Connect included a teambuilding session based on the lean concept of continuous improvement, where four teams competed with one another to build the best ‘miniature bridge’ with unlimited resources. In the afternoon, BGC also launched a new Health & Wellness campaign to cater to the wellbeing of BGC employees, and promote the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The networking session concluded with an open mic session followed by a launch of the company’s first ever BGC Olympics.
