High Tea With Ministry of Energy
On 16th May 2022, Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) received a delegation from the Ministry of Energy to BGC’s Headquarters at Jalan Jerudong for a working visit. Pg Shamhary Pg Dato Paduka Hj Mustapha, BGC Managing Director, together with the BGC Management Team was present to receive the delegation led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md Hussein, Minister of Energy accompanied by Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary, Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Jamra Weira bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Deputy Permanent Secretary and other Senior Government officials.
Pg Shamhary in welcoming the delegation also proceeded to provide an overview of BGC’s current business activities as well as touching on the evolving LNG shipping market together with an outlook for the industry. BGC was also proud to display the capabilities of the Company’s local talents at ensuring the continued safe and reliable delivery of LNG to Brunei Darussalam’s international customers. The delegation was also briefed on the ship refit projects being executed. One of the key highlights for the visit included a tour of the state-of-the-art Bridge Simulator Training Center (BSTC) led by Captain Shazelli, one of BGC’s Vessel Masters.
The visit concluded with a tour of the BGC office, and some light refreshments. We wish to thank the Minister, Deputy Minister, and the rest of the Senior Government officials for making the time to conduct this working visit. We look forward to our next engagement very soon.
