Loved Ones Come Onboard To Celebrate Hari Raya (Arkat)

As part of our efforts to continuously look after the well-being of our crew members, the company arranged a special visit with nine immediate family members onboard our vessels for the Hari Raya celebrations.

This feat would not have been possible without the unconditional support and cooperation from the respective family members in upholding safety. Seeing the families reunited onboard for the first time was heartwarming, as most of our crew had not been able to celebrate the past Hari Raya with their respective families due to operational requirements.

Arkat was the first of our vessels to receive visits from family members this year and carved a new piece of history for Brunei Gas Carriers. We will continue to share stories of our planned visits to the rest of our vessels in the coming weeks. Stay tuned on our social media for updates 🙂

Last but not least, we would like to thank Brunei LNG for the warm welcome and for accommodating our visit today.

BGC Brings Festive Joy To Orphans

On 7th May 2021, Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) organised an Iftar ceremony with orphans at the Royal Berkshire Hall in Jerudong Park & Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club.

The Iftar ceremony was organised in conjunction with BGC’s Project Amali, with the aim of strengthening its relationship with the local communities and to inculcate the spirit of benevolence and giving among BGC staff.

Pg Shamhary Pg Dato Hj Mustapha, Managing Director of BGC, attended the ceremony alongside Awang Haji Kharul Azmi Bin Haji Lakat, Acting Village Head of Kampong Jerudong, and Awang Mohammad Asyramisyanie Bin Kamis, Acting Village Head of Kampong Kulapis.

A total of 45 orphans joined BGC personnel and Village Consultative Council (MPK) representatives for the recitation of Tahlil & Doa Selamat and the breaking of fast.

BGC, through its Project Amali, also presented donations to the orphans in the form of “Eidiya”—through its internal donation drive.

Pg Shamhary remarked, “As Ramadhan is a month of giving, BGC is thankful that that we could all contribute and look after the well-being of the local community, in this instance, orphans. Under Project Amali we will continue to serve our community with their interests in mind and cater our social investment initiatives to their needs.”
