Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) is keen to seek an Expression of Interest or otherwise from companies for the above mentioned services.

 

Tender Scope:

The Company is inviting interested vendors to express interest for the scope of work as described below.  Vendors may indicate if they are able to provide all or only part of the scope:

1. Provision of Ship Stores and Supplies
   1. To source & supply stores across BGC’s managed fleet including but not limited to the activities below:
      1. To source stores as specified by the vessel.
      2. Orders will be based on (but not restricted to) IMPA catalogue.
   2. Stores to be supplied to designated location which may include but not be limited to the following activities:
      1. Packing and delivery of items
      2. Process and maintain all relevant permits and documentations.
      3. Maintain membership to IMPA (International Marine Purchasing Association).
      4. Appoint one focal point to coordinate BGC fleet’s requirements including to attend to fleet’s chandlery requirements during refit.
      5. Act as a single point of reference for BGC’s global agent for all chandlery related goods able to provide various specialized items highly specific to shipping industry such as but not limited to:
         1. Rope and Hawsers
         2. Nautical Equipment/instruments
         3. Metal Sheets, Bars
         4. Rigging equipment and general deck items
         5. Screws and nuts
         6. Petroleum Products
         7. Pneumatic and electrical tools
         8. Pipes and tubes
         9. Pipes and tubes fittings
         10. Hand tools
         11. Valves and cocks
         12. Hose and Couplings
         13. Bearings
         14. Electrical equipment/spares
         15. Packing and Jointing
         16. Welding equipment
         17. Machinery equipment
         18. Measuring Tools
         19. Specialized safety equipment
         20. Cutting tools
2. Supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
   1. To source & supply PPE where the scope of work shall include (but not be limited to) the following:
      1. Supply PPE on call off basis for both Company’s personnel onboard vessels and office
      2. Manage inventory to ensure minimum stocks of PPE are maintained throughout the contract duration
      3. Ensure supply is available upon request within 24 hours after receipt of orders
      4. Deliver stocks to Company’s appointed hub agent
      5. List of PPE shall include (but not be limited to) the following:
         • Boilersuits
         • Footwear
         • Eye Protection such as Safety Goggles and Safety Spectacles
         • Gloves
         • Helmets and Ear Protection
3. Provision of Victualing Supplies
   1. Provision, management, and delivery of food, beverages, and galley supplies to vessels, ensuring quality, freshness, and compliance with dietary standards. Services to include inventory management and budget control.

Local Business Development

BGC’s LBD requirements are in line with the LBD directives as issued by the Department of Energy, Prime Minister’s Office. This scope falls under Highly Specialised quadrant of the LBD framework as such the following shall apply:

• Open to all companies
• Local Employment target = best endeavours
• Local Content target = best endeavours
