That new chapter in your life has started and it’s time to seek out a profession.
For those of us who have gone through this stage, it can easily become quite a daunting experience. The one question that one may be asking themselves is, “Will I be good enough to be offered a job?”.
We’ve gone through the many years of learning to get to this point with a qualification in our hands yet we are told that we do not quite qualify for the job application. “What went wrong?” you may ask yourself and think back to find the answer to this question.
Enter a different scenario. You have received a job offer and as grateful as you feel to have been given this opportunity, there is that sinking feeling in your stomach. “Will I make a good impression and complete my probation period successfully?” or when given a task to do you may start thinking, “Am I even doing this right?”.
Yes, it can feel quite intimidating to be in a new environment. There are several reasons why one would feel this way but we’d like to focus on an area which we can help make this transition just a bit easier and perhaps, more comfortable.
Introducing BGC GO, created to equip graduates with the relevant life skills, help upgrade their capabilities and improve their employability factor. For many, these skills are learned throughout their profession on a training course, being coached or picking the skills up along the way. We however, feel that these skills should be taught much earlier to help you build up your skills platform in anticipation of what awaits you in the working world.
The BGC GO was also created in support of Brunei Darussalam’s Vision 2035 vision of establishing a dynamic and sustainable economy that provides its citizens with quality employment of highly skilled people.
