On 16 July 2026, Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) and Brunei LNG marked a significant milestone with the signing of the extension of the Amadi Time Charter Agreement (TCA) at Brunei LNG’s Office in Lumut.

The agreement was signed by Acting Managing Director of BGC, Ms. Koh Hui Ling, and Managing Director & CEO of Brunei LNG, Mr. Niels Dijksman, reaffirming the long-standing partnership of over 25 years between two Bruneian companies at the heart of the nation’s LNG value chain.

More than an extension of vessel services, the agreement reflects a shared commitment to the safe and reliable delivery of LNG to international markets, strengthening Brunei’s economic resilience and the competitiveness of its energy industry.

For the second consecutive year, Brunei Gas Carriers (BGC) was proud to collaborate with Poni Group as one of the key Site Visit Partner for the Future Ocean Changemakers Youth Forum, held in conjunction with Ocean Week Brunei 2026.

As part of this initiative, BGC welcomed local and international youth participants to our headquarters in Jerudong, providing them with valuable insights into the maritime shipping industry and BGC’s operations. Participants also had the opportunity to experience LNG vessel operations first-hand through a visit to BGC’s Bridge Simulator Training Centre (BSTC), offering a unique glimpse into life at sea and the critical role of maritime professionals.

Through engagements like these, BGC aims to inspire the next generation to explore opportunities within the maritime sector and develop a greater appreciation of the industry’s contribution to global trade, economic growth, and everyday life.
