THE Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) hosted its Amali Project for the community residing in Labi, Kuala Belait yesterday.
The project aimed to provide sustainable initiatives through activities that can contribute to the general well-being of the communities with whom BGC works with.
QHSSE Manager of BGC Captain Mohd Shahbrin bin Haji Ibrahim, Human Resource and Corporate Affairs Manager Mizan Adiliah binti Haji Mohamad Deli and Information Technology Manager Dayangku Norbailah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman as well as BGC staff members presented donations to the students and underprivileged families living in the surrounding areas of Labi.Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi and Village Head of Kampong Labi 1 Yang Berhormat Hanapi bin Mohd Siput as well as members of the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Kampong Labi were also present.
Thirty-two underprivileged students of Labi Primary School were presented with school supplies by BGC representatives.
BGC representatives and staff members also visited the residences of three underprivileged families to hand over donations in the form of household necessities to lessen their burden.
BGC, together with the Labi community, also participated in the cemetery cleaning campaign on April 26.
